PWS New Rails Now you can take your rails all the way out to the Break!!! Been Waiting on this! I've got a set on the way that I'll be using on my MK114 upper. I'll post some pics once I've got it all together. |

Ohhhhhh.... I wonder if I could buy a spare set, mark how much rail I want to keep and where, then send them off and have the unused rail ground, smoothed and textured?
Then again, I could just keep running covers and save a bunch of $$. Plus, the rails probably act as heat sinks. |

This item should only be installed by a competent gunsmith.
If you do not understand how to replace it, you are not that gunsmith. Damage of the rail or subsequent components due to improper installation or removal will not be covered under warranty by PWS or any of its affiliates. take note of this little tid-bit of information the socket head cap screws that hold the front of the rails in place are secured with a thread locker when assembled by PWS if you do not have enough experience in removing this type of small screws that have been secured by a thread locker ............ DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND KEEP YOUR HANDS OFF !!! I have had to fix other peoples botched jobs that snapped these off and then tried to drill them out, only to make matters much worse ........... they tried to free hand drill the screws out and messed it up off center and then it requires time on a mill to fix it the right way or if they really, really messed it up ......... they damage the gas block I do not know what brand thread locker that PWS uses on these small 10-32 allen-socket screws ......... but it continues to hold the screws in place even after repeatedly heating and cooling of the gas block during sustained fire sessions at the range - - - and the gas block gets rather hot just trying to help prevent any costly mistakes that you might make ...... ![]()

The short rails were the only thing that I didn't like about PWS rifles, but these may get me back on board. Would love to see some pictures! Hmmm, I like the way the longer rails look but I can't think of a practical reason to change to them. The lower rail front grip can not be put any further out and the laser/light combo is prefect for where the grip is. For iron sites a longer site radius should be a hair more accurate but i use an EOTech and longer rails would not change where that sits. So, while I do like the look I don't see how spending the money changes anything is real use. Plus, what would I do with the short set? Wulfmann |
