I am aware that if I want to keep the P-mags loaded, use the little clippee that comes with each mag.
But what if I want to keep a loaded P-Mag inserted in each of our M4's longterm.
Does the magwell keep the lips from spreading?
Will cause a failure of the mag???

Thanx in advance.

Magpul is now recommending them for storage only to protect the lips, not to keep the lips from spreading.

You wont have a problem either way.

I was too under the assumption that the clip was used to keep the lips from spreading on a full mag in storage...good to know.  Either way, the bolt carrier pushes down on the rounds slightly in a full mag in a gun so I don't think it would effect them at all.

Doesn't matter. The rounds are pushed down by the bottom of bolt carrier
