What are the recommended round counts to replace everything subject to wear in the ar?

Is there a chart or document etc. somewhere showing that, or the expected lifespan of the various parts?

Shooting till breakage sounds like a wonderful idea.

Here is our PMS for the M4, the key is to prevent problems from occurring. I use this to keep track of where things are and to gauge the life of various replacement parts we use.

think of a light bulb,, how long will it burn??? 6 weeks, 6 months, or 6 years. we just don't know. the same will apply to firearm parts [excluding some springs] so check your rifle during routine cleaning and maintenance, and watch for anything out of the ordinary during range sessions. most all the parts will last a long time, but it would not hurt anything to have some spare parts around. see the thread "what parts break in a carbine class"––-best of luck...
