I've been wanting to do a new build. I've noticed though, my typical go to places are slim picking. Primary Arms, AIM, Joe Bob, Surplus Ammo and Arms. Has anyone else noticed the limited availability of parts?

Well, what parts do you want?  ........

I just finished my first build, and yes, it was very difficult to find some parts online.  Lower parts kits seem to disappear very fast.  The website I ordered from is now out of stock on almost all of them.   The particular handguard I wanted was only available on one specific website.  The barrel I ordered sold out within a week, and when they came back in stock, the price was higher.  The trend I noticed was parts would sell out, there'd be a week or two, then they would come back in stock, generally.  So I guess maybe it depends on how fast you can gather all your parts, or how long you're willing to wait for them to come back in stock.

There is obviously a "rush" on right now. You aren't seeing lots of good sales either....meaning the vendors are moving plenty of product.

PSA has an Easter-sale going on this week, with a couple of reasonable-priced LPK's available and still in stock. $45.00 complete PSA Classic Kit with an Ergo-grip ect.  I doubt you'll find a quality over-all Lower Parts Kit for less these days.   Good luck.

I have noticed this too. I wonder of manufacturers cut back on overtime/3rd shift since the panic ended. There was lots of parts 6 months ago and everything was on sale.

Local Pawn/Gun shop has about a half a dozen LPK's in stock, all the charging handles you could want, 3-4 tube and buffer sets, about a dozen varied stripped lowers, 8-10 bolts (Rock Rivers, meh....) and two or three complete uppers to sell.

They're in pretty good shape. They are selling plenty of parts, guns, ammo--- lots of folks adding rails, cerakoting etc....They got in three Ruger Precision Rifles yesterday, one in each caliber....only the .243 is still there today. I moved up TWO spots on the list! Should have mine by the first part of next month!

This morning I bought a LPK with blackhawk (Ergoish) grip for $45, a B5 kryptec mandrake lower build kit for $109, a b5 complete stock for $59. All at PSA.

We've got an Easter sale going on and finally received a decent stock of parts but they won't last long.  When parts do become available the manufacturers usually raise prices on us.
