I posted this in another forum, and well got nowhere quick. Maybe this should have been where I went first. What's the best way to store spare bolts and like parts? | Here in Hawaii, the salt air content is high so anything that can rust will rust in short time. Because of this I oil all my parts and store them in zip-loc type bags. I've been doing it this way for over 10yrs and no rust at all. I think it's a good idea to store them in bags and it certainly won't hurt any. FWIW, I get the bags from Brownells as they sell an assortment of diff sizes. |
