Where would one find a parts selection for different builds.  As in supposedly if you run a flat top you need the F marked FSB.  However if you don't know that then you just limited yourself on what BUIS you install or how much you can adjust it.  So how do you know the various parts you should be choosing for what the goal is in your build???  How do you get it right the first time???

Research,grasshopper,research.

It can be confusing as there are sooooooooooooooo many options.

If you hang out in the AR tech forums for a while, you will find someone has done what you are looking to acomplish or very close to it already.

Good luck!

forged vs extruded:  forged is supposed to be stronger...  I wouldn't think of using an ar as a door opener...  is this strength I don't need like Z rated tires on a Civic???  6066 vs 7075 parts???  Is there even a practical difference???  The confusion is enough to just say lets all just keep plunking down money on more and more...
