Working on first pistol build for both suppressed and un. (300 blk)
Intend to use SLR Sentry and realized the gas block will basically be centered under the handguard.
The SLR passes excess gas out the leaf spring no?
So will there be hot gas preventing a grip on the handguard?

no, the leaf spring is for the detent.

there is no gas bleeding, it just restricts gas going back to the BCG

AH, got it. I thought I had read the leaf spring was a relief in the even of pressure above the blocks ability to reduce.
