| I hope this isn't a completely dumb question but here goes. I shot a bunch this winter at the cabin. Target was a simple board or pallet with a large pile of snow behind it and dirt wall behind that. When the snow melted we found a bunch of bullets that didn't mushroom at all. In fact the only thing that mushroomed were 22lr. 9mm, 308, 7.62, and 223 all held their shape. Do the rounds go through the wood such velocity that the bullet doesn't deform before the snow slows it down? I'll get a pic posted if I can |
