What are the thoughts on the KNS Perma Pin?

Sometimes the cotter pins are really hard to install and they break relatively easy (at least in my experiences)

So why aren't these things more popular?

hey Opesus,

Ive thought about getting the perma pin too a few times. My colt half circle carrier used to chew up retaining pins like it was cool. Didn't break them but bent them to hell. Since ive sold the carrier and replaced it with a fully shrouded one and no problems so far. I know the perma pin is a recreation of the original pin found on the ar-15 and m16's. They look stout and would hold up well. And i do believe they have a lifetime warranty on breakage.
