Ok i wanted to get some input from yall on this.  I have a phantom 5c2 and noticed that the crown on the barrel gets caked up quick with carbon.  This cant be good for accuracy in the long run.  On my barrel there is a small space between the end of the barrel and the baffle ill call it on the phantom itself.  I broke out the caliper and measured it and that baffle is about halfway on the first deep ring from the front and ~ the same amout onto the piece in front of it.  I was thinking maybe this material was for reinforcement but i dont know.  I e-mailed yanhee hill about this a week ago and got no reply i guess because i was talking about modifing it.  Anyway do any of you see a problem with having a machine shop drill out the baffle so the carbon wouldnt build so much on the crown.  At the end of the slots there is a perfectly round non tapered circle i was thinking of having it drilled out to that dia.  That space may have a purpose but i cant get a reply to know for sure.  Anyway what are yalls thoughts on this?  By the way if anyones interested i shot a group today with and without it and it dropped the point of impact ~ 3" with the FS.

So don't use a FS if you want MOA shooting, I don't see the point is messing around with it when you can simply buy an A1 FS, or something else that may suit you better.

I may still drill it out to see what happens but what do you think of the MSTN Quiet control brake?  Since it hides flash to some degree that may be a good alternative.  I just dont want to be switching back and fourth for whatever use.
