I am considering an XM-177 build and want to keep my barrel so I was looking at the 5 1/2" welded mock flash hider. I am not sure what an upper with this would look like though. If you have some pics I would appreciate it. Thanks-

Any pics of the XM style would be nice.. pumps me up for my build.

hey where or what comp did you get your barrels from?

i noticed that there are a lot of different designed flash hiders.



notice that gi brat's is smooth or straight on the end and stickman's has the grooves on it.




i like how stickman's look.

One of them looks like Bushy's standard 11.5"bbl+5.5+fs combo offering.

It's important to realize what kind of mock fs that hard is talking about, which I am assuming is the original Colt Moderator which has to be mock otherwise as the original design it's NFA (as in a sound suppressor) as it reduces the sound slightly.

Original and mock designs are offered for sale.  The Bushy 5.5" is just a plain extended flash suppressor though, and it looks like the first picture IIRC.
