All, I'm looking to see what a "plain jane" free float tube (no rails on it), with gas block upper looks like. I am contemplating setting up one like that.

I really need to make my floater tube a date with the drill press, add some holes to lighten it up a bit and add some ventilation. I'll get around to it eventually.
