| I was wondering if anyone does not have a muzzle device on their ar and if they don't could I see a picture of it. I'm from N.J. and flash hiders are illegal and I'm not sure if I want a comp/ brake because of how loud they are. I do like the look (cool factor) a muzzle dives gives to an ar , so please help me decide. |

No muzzle device on this AR.

| I run an Ares Effin' A comp on my 7.62x39 upper, it's tunable so you plug any holes you don't want to vent from, mine is only open from the 11 o'clock to 1 o'clock positions to control muzzle jump without venting any gas back to the shooter. I don't notice any increase in noise/concussion over an open muzzle. I've got one of the older ones that just looks like a can, the newer ones are 'styled' and are considerably lighter. Might also look at a linear comp, they vent forward. I had a Levang linear comp on a pistol then tried it on a rifle for a while. Didn't do much for muzzle jump/recoil but looked good, it was cheap, and wasn't any louder. |

The only place local to me (Bergen County) is Bullethole in Belleville and even with my bare muzzle shooting for an hour will definitely ring your bells. I can't imagine shooting indoors with a brake for any extended period of time. Keep the muzzle bare. It's not so bad. |
