Looking for pics of the DD 12.0 rail. Thinking about doing a 12.0 on a CMMG 14.5 upper with a phantom. Any pics would be great. I had a chance to handle that rail and it is SWEEEEET. Thanks alot.

Here is another one from awhile back.  While these are of the M4 DD 12.0, I like the LITE Rail better due to its lockup and interface from the receiver to rail.  Both rails are now selling at the same price (or very close to it).

I'll see if I can dig up pictures of the DD 12.0 Lite rail.

Below is a DD 12.0 Lite with a 16" SS barrel.  I have two 16" SS barrels, and both have DD 12.0 Lite rails on them, so thats the majority of pictures from my own collection.

Here is the DD RIS II A2 rail submittal, and while not originally designed for a carbine, it works quite nicely in that role.  The DD M4A1 RIS II that was adopted by SOCOM was based off this concept.

Here is the DD RIS II rail that is also a 12.0 series rail.  Its shown on a 14.5" barrel here, in the above picture the rail is on a 16" barrel.

what's up with the mount on the DD 12.0? does it mount over the barrel nut? or does it use its own mounting nut? it looks pretty cool with the 14.5 in bbl!

here you go 14.5 in with a 12" dd lite rail, in 9mm though with an a2 style FH... this has become one of my favorites for plinking on account of the relatively cheap 9mm prices it loves WWB

would actually have a slightly longer looking barrel in 5.56 though since the 9mm is set back into the upper receiver a little

FYI, according to DD the new lite rails do NOT have lightening holes on the bottom of the rail. Here is a pic of mine that is lost in UPS mail

Reason behind this?  Cost?  Or structural integrity?

I asked awhile back, and was told that it brings the product in line with the M4 rail series in visual appearance.  Its not a big deal to me either way, but I had no complaints with the older style.

The new DD 14.0 Lite rail follows in step with the lack of holes on the bottom as well.

I think that sort of sucks. If they wanted to make a real, non-cosmetic change to their rails, they should have brought the lower rail closer to the bore, the same distance out as the side rails; then eliminating the holes in it would make sense, since there would not have been room for them. And at least then the handguard would be slimmer to grasp. Taking the lightening holes out of the bottom rail just makes a "Lite" rail a little heavier.

I agree %100 Kitteh, I do like mine but I wish I could've gotten the original Lite rail style.

Here is mine, I'm waiting on a Mount then i will have my Accupoint on it.

How long has the new style been in production? I need a 7.0 Lite, but I want it to match my 9.0 and 12.0 Lites, which have the holes in the lower rail.

I'm pretty sure that when they all go clubbing together most of the other guns won't even notice the difference!
