Hey guys...actually started my build right after the election...parts were hard to come by, but not impossible. When I did find them in stock, prices were not rediculous. So, I wasn't really in that big of a hurry. I had everything on hand except for a stripped lower to complete the build. I was holding out for a PSA, but didn't pull the trigger on one (sorry, no pun intended)...THEN Sandy Hook. I went to the big area gun show the Saturday after Newtown with the specific purpose of getting my lower before I couldn't...walked the entire hall and saw about 10 total lowers (excluding polymers)...not many choices, but prices were still at pre-panic prices...dang I should have bought them all! Anyway, found my Spikes lower a day after Sandy Hook for $129. Also picked up several pmags for $12 ea.

| I like it. My first AR was a basic carbine that looked just like it. I traded it off a year ago and now I'm wishing I had it back. My next build is going to be a basic 16" carbine like yours. There's something about K.I.S.S. carbine that just does it for me. Good job. |
