In the process of building my first EBR, and planning to go the M4gery route. Unfortunately, I live in NYistan, and collapsible stocks are not smiled upon. Does anyone know of or have a source for a pinned adjustable stock? Even one that only adjusts with tools is, I believe, legal. I'm listening! |

Quoted: I don't think that it's legal. From tons of reading in NY Hometown forum, people have recommended against methods that could be reversible with tools. The way I (and most others) take it, is that is has to be pinned to the extent of the stock being destroyed in the process of trying to telescope.Even one that only adjusts with tools is, I believe, legal. What is your source on this? |

Quoted: Bushmaster used to sell a fixed "six-position" stock. They might still have it. They do still sell them as I called just the other day. Look on their website, there's no picture of it just a description.

Karl, NYShooter: I am only going with my understanding of the law at the moment. I'll be sending a letter to the NYS Attorney General's office in the next couple weeks for a written opinion, and I'll be chatting with some of the cops at work over the next few days. I'll let you know what results of those queries are. Meantime, I'll be using the faux-adjustable stock offered up in the first reply here... :) |
