| I was sitting on my ass at work today pondering what I can do next with my EBR addiction and thought of something. I never did see how my transfering FFL actually wrote up the 4 spikes tactical pistol lowers that I purchased. If he put it a "receiver" and not "stripped receiver", "stripped lower", or "pistol" or what ever it is that needs to be on what ever form that is could I have an un-registered sbr? And if so how do I fix this? What should he have put on the paper work. I'm only asking because it's not only my ass but also a good friends on the wire here. Thanks, -JBP |

I see it's that time of the week again in the pistol forum...
It's going to be one of three things on the 4473 - Long Gun, Pistol, or Other. Does it matter which one he checked? Nope. Go read the statute. NFA violation has zilch to do with a piece of paper - anywhere. The ONLY thing that matters is if you've put a stock on it. Period. |

If i remember correctly this on was yellow and he just wrote them down as receivers but i wasnt sure if he needed to put them as pistols. Thanks.. hopefully this horse wont begin to stink before we can bury it. |
