Does a pistol buffer extension have to be completely smooth?
I'm guessing it does so you can't easily throw on a stock.
Would it be legal to put a VLTOR A5 extension on a Pistol lower if it was filed down smooth?

Any receiver extension (buffer tube) may be used as long as you don't actually put a stock on it.

Most people use a dedicated pistol tube, and while it a good idea, it is not a legal requirement.

Ah ok.  Thanks.

Is it really legal to put the cheek saddle things on like some people do?

Edit: My bad i see there is a discussion going on about this already.
