What is the size of O-ring that you can slip over the pivot pin to reduce upper/lower wobble? Thanks.

never done it , but i understand it goes around the lug, to put pressure on the upper when closed.
size? try out several, big enough to do some good, small enough to close.
Interesting indeed
Is it better than an "accuwedge" - clones are cheap and work ($1.99 at CDNN)

#7 or #44 should work. #7 fits tighter arount the lug which causes it to stretch and break faster. I stick with #44 now.
Use a thin plastic card to wedge it in there.

If the o-ring you select gets sheared when you close and pin the receivers, then just simply step down to a smaller cross-section o-ring. This technique works like a charm. Often a 1/32" cross-section works perfectly.
