[ARCHIVED THREAD] - Pivot pin spring to long?

Was helping my brother-in-law put his lower together. Could not get the detent/spring to compress enough to install the pin. I kept thinking it was an out of spec lower. Ended up cutting a bit off the spring and it went together fine.

I've built eight lowers and never had one like that. Common problem? It was a Model 1 kit (not sure who's LPK) and a DPMS lower.

Me too this weekend one was a bitch and I cut it the other my second went together easy without cutting same kit and lower as you. launched and recovered detent 8 times
