It's fine, even put a saddle on the tube and an AFG upfront.

Yep. Just as legal as firing a rifle from the hip.

AFG= Angled Fore Grip from Magpul. Its a foregrip but not enough to count as one to the atf in terms of NFA, at least according to one of the letters from the ATF posted in the stickies.

Shooting from the shoulder is legal as long as no stock is attached.

Wow, I am surprised that the AFGs aren' t counted as foregrips... That is FREAKING AWESOME! Thats really the one thing that made a SBR so much more appealing. I can live without having a stock on a short AR, but having a grip other than the handguard is something that I prefer on my ARs and the AFG seems like it would be a great match with a 7.5" pistol.

To each his own of course, but I don't care for the AFG at all, on pistol or rifle.  Plain ole handguard more comfy for me.

I was speaking to some High Speed Lawyers in the industry at the Shot Show.  Apparently the CA DOJ is trying to come up with some wording that would make it illegal to use these types of weapons (A15 pistols etc) with the use of a sling, or anything for that matter that would allow the shooter to fire from the shoulder.  The idea being that the sling is intended to take the place of the stock and the weapon is now intended to be fired from the shoulder.  Not too sure that this is even possible, but with some of the stupid legislation these idiots have been coming up with, it would surprise me if CA passes any kind of new law.  At a federal level...no way.

What about adding a bipod?  Thinking that with the legs down, they could be used as a grip.  What about a versa pod????  Would these be considered forward grips?

Bipods are fine.  If you use the versapod, make sure you don't use the VFG mount.

Actually, NEW YORK is now the KING State for Stupid Firearm Laws.

I don't know the configuration of your AR pistol, but I am using a floating quad rail up front.  It mounts a bi-pod, laser, off angle red dot, and 12 power scope, with a Beta C-Mag underneath.  I find the extended bi-pod leg to be more useful than the angle grip.  And it makes the scope meaningful.  Of course my AR pistol has a 8.5" 300 BLK barrel, which is another fine attribute if you can find one.

Anyone ever had their pistol fire two or more rounds at a time when shoulder firing? I was shooting a buddies the other day and it was like it was bump firing? Shooting two rounds everytime. Any ideas on the cause?

Unintentional double taps probably. Need to practice your follow through on the trigger squeeze.
