I recall hearing that Plum Crazy Firearms was going to change its name. Does anyone know what name they're using now?

Yeah I think they thought the name hurt them with Leo sales, I forget what it was changed to, PCM maybe?

Not sure they are still around, have not seen them mentioned

New Frontier Armory, I believe.

Went to NF's website. Their lower looks very similar to Plum Crazy's (finish, placement and style of logos, etc.). I sent them an email asking about that. I guess we'll see. Off topic, I see even Bushmaster is making polymer lowers now.

In the past, they made the Carbon-15.  Unless this is something new from them.  Link, please.

Well, New Frontier replied to my email and advised that they are in no way afiliated with Plum Crazy. I will have to do some research on the NFA receivers, though, to see how people like them.

Oh, the Bushmaster is the Carbon-15. I just recently saw it in a Cabela's ad.

I would suggest to just go with the standard mil-spec aluminum lower.  Seen a couple thread here lately of guys with weird issues and their NFAs.  JMHO

I have a couple of NFA complete polymer lowers. One was on a super lightweight all polymer 22lr build and the other was on a low buck 7.62x39 build. I used NFA's blowback hammer for the 22lr build and had to swap in a locking hammer pin but otherwise there has absolutely no trouble with it and it has over 3000 round through it now. The NFA lower I used for the x39 build has had no issues. The upper I used did not like the NFA buffer so I just swapped it with my PSA setup and I had no problems since. The NFA buffer worked fine in my other x39 with my LAR/Kies upper. I put 400 rounds through the NFA x39 in 30 minutes for break in and got the upper hot enough to burn a hole in a sandbag and melt a towel and it did not do anything to the polymer lower.

IIRC it was PCF or PCF Custom, or something like that.

I love the New Frontier Armory polymer lower receivers. They are incredibly strong and overcome the weaknesses of Plum Crazy. Plus, the polymer lowers do not require lube.
