got a stag lower, noveske low pro recce upper.  was trying to practice changing Pmags quickly, i notice my mags won't lock up initially.  the mag will generally lock by engaging it slowly and by force.  will lock up quickly without the upper installed.  this is my first rifle, so i don't any experience to compare it to anything.  only have two pmags and no other mags to compare it with.

Just give the mag a good slap on the bottom after inserting it into the weapon, then pull the mag down to make sure it engaged properly.

Seating a full magazine on a closed bolt is always a challange.  A large majority of people only load 27-28 rounds in the magazine to make the seating process easier.  I used to slap magazines while seating them but there are other methods that I later found out work better for me.
