i just got in my UDE Pmag from Larue, i went to put it in my DPMS carbine and it wouldnt go in, i tried every angle and finally forced it in with quite a bit of hand pressure, then i had to pull it like a mofo to get it out.  i had only used my black pmag in that rifle, so i tried my FDE and FG pmags and they slid in perfect.  i also tried some steel mags and some mags i got from bravo, all worked fine in my DPMS. so i thought it must be the UDE pmag.

i tried the UDE pmag in both of my spikes lowers and it slid in perfectly, as well as all the other pmags n gi mags.

so is the UDE pmag out of spec or is my DPMS lower out of spec slightly? anyone ever had a problem like this?

I believe there were reports of this with some M&P 15 Lowers when they came out.

Does the end of your trigger guard extend at all into the magazine well? Does the magazine stick if the upper is removed? Does the magazine stick if the mag catch is depressed while you insert the magazine?

no, yes, yes

the mag doesnt even want to go into the magwell at all, i have to force it to get it in even a half inch, and i continued to force it all the way in once, then had a hell of time getting it out.

what i dont understand is, the UDE pmag works no problem on the spikes lowers but not in the DPMS.  but the DPMS lower works fine with all the other color Pmags.

i guess i'll have borrow one of those wrenches that measures OD and ID of things and check out the diffrences between the magwells and pmags.

im not really concerned cause it only cost $14, im mostly just confused as to why it'll fit in one but not the other yet everything else works in both lowers.

all those tests point to the mag well being tight on that mag. You might be able to look in the mag well and see by the scratches where the mag is dragging.

the mag has black rubbed on it from the inner magwell, i'll try to get a pic tonight.
