| Will there be more of these or is it true that they all dried up, the magnifier that is. Hope not Does Larue still make the QD Pivot Mount for the Hensoldt Wetzler 2x Optical scope ? |
|
It seems that Larue doesn't offer the "PO-BOY" special anymore The Pivot mount is still offered - it was not made for the hensoldt magnifier Cheaperthandirt sold the hensoldt magnifier scope, but it seems they are no longer available. I did, however, see some recently on ebay |

This might be hoping for too much, but does the Po-Boy have internal windage/elevation adjustments to line up with the red dot, and does it have a focus capacity? Thanks. Magnifiers don't need windage/elevation adjustments. You put it in line with the optic and it magnifies what you see through said optic. You need to pick a mount for the magnifier that's a workable height for your optic and mount combo. Magnifiers also do not need focus adjustments. |

I had a thread about this a bit back, and the Hensoldt magnifier is 26mm. Consensus was that you may get away with a 1" in some rings, but a 30mm-26mm ring reducer would be optimal. I may see if I can get a few more, if anyone wants them. The ones I have purchased were NIB/sealed, with reticle still in place. I think the guy has some left, and they are cheap. I've ordered four more, just for friends, etc. Not plugging them, as I have no association whatsoever, but here is a link: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=260564913118 |

The magnifiers I've seen from PrimaryArms, Vortex Optics all have the adjustments to help center the red dot... And they also have focus- I was under the impression that anything with magnification could use a focus so that objects at varying distances will appear more clearly. |

Maybe somebody else can toss in here, but my Aimpoint magnifier has no adjustments on it at all. If you want the dot centered, you get the right mount. No focusing needed either. As for the less expensive ones, they may be thinking you aren't necessarily going to pop for the mounts that get everything at the right height or whatever else. |

anyone know where I can find some 30mm to 1" ring inserts on the cheap? Everywhere I'm looking, it costs about $15 + 10 shipping... $25 for a insert, awfully expensive...
Edit: Alright, I am now officially a LaRue fan... Called them up to see if they could help me out since I have a LT-649. Even though I got the mount used off of EE, the guy I talked to still offered to ship me the ring inserts for only the price of shipping- rarely ever see that kind of good service... +1 LT |

Well I got my hensoldt magnifier scope in from the guy on ebay. I am leaving the reticle in as you dont really notice it and could probably use it. |
| Well, the mount is just their standard 30mm Aimpoint magnifier FTS mount (LT-649. you can get tall or short version depending on your red dot's height). The space they have is specifically for the Hensoldt I think (it's not a 30mm to 1" converter). So supplies may be limited, you need to tell em you need it when you place the order. |
| My friend stopped by with his 2.5x Hensoldt with the reticle still in it and you can see the tank markings are much darker and larger than the 2x version. What would hook up to that rail on top ? If I were to take the reticle out of the 2.5x, how can I re-purge them or where can you have this done so they do not fog up ? |

Just got my Po Boy today. The paint has pretty much come off all around the tube, but the glass is AWESOME. crystal clear, and I don't think I'm going to remove the tank reticle... Feels retro, and not distracting at all.
Also got my LaRue Hensoldt 30mm ring adapter in the mail too. Thanks again to LT for giving it to me for *FREE*! :-) |

The reticle in the 2x version is barely noticeable, on the 2.5x it is much darker and noticeable. |
