Okay, so I carry a gun at work. Lovely...

I have figured out that amplifying a magnified image is sharper than magnifying an amplified one. A conundrum:

If I put my ACOG in front of my PVS 14, the image is much sharper than if I put the PVS 14 in front of my ACOG.

Putting the ACOG in front requires moving it foward. I know this is going to change my point of aim. But I dont know how.

I wont get into why I am having a hard time getting to go to a range or why I cant just shoot rounds the next time I'm out in the middle of fuckin nowhere, but lets just say I cant wait to extend+transfer to a place that is less gay.

And no, I'm not going to just drink whatever coolaid gets passed to me, I just want an idea of what kentucky windage to try if my first round misses its mark.

So how will moving the ACOG foward on the rail most likely effet my Point of Aim/Point of Impact?

Well, my brain tells me it's a matter of triangles.  Figure out the difference in the two triangles.  One triangle being the scope in it's normal config, the bore and the zero (25 meters?)  Then, the second triangle being the scope in it's new position, the bore and your zero.  I would think it would change some, but probably not terribly much at 25 meters.  But moreso downrange.  I have no clue how to figure it out without actually doing it.

Where's the math majors?
