| I have a Trijcon ACOG TA31RCOA4 zeroed at 100meters, I was out shooting in the woods the other day at targets between 0-50 meters and I couldn't figure out where my point of aim would be at between those ranges. If I wanted to shoot targets at say 5,10,15,20...50 meters away where would my points of aim be on my ACOG? |

To get a rough 100m zero at 25m, you would use the top of the red vertical line (300m reference) beneath the chevron as your aiming point. That said, your point of impact vs using the tip of the chevron is maybe an inch or so low.
I would feel confident that I can hit a guy center mass using the chevron at those distances. If you're looking for something more precise, zero your ACOG for 100 and shoot a few 3 or 5 shot groups at the appropriate distance to figure out what your POA/POI reference point would be. |
| If you have your sight zeroed at 100 meters, you should be able to use the tip of the chevron for all targets from point blank out to 100 meters. The trajectory is almost flat out to 200 meters so there shouldn't be any issues with POA\POI. What some of the other posters are referring to is how to zero the entire BDC system at close range. If you use the 300 meter line on the 25 meter zeroing target, it should zero your sight correctly. |
