There was a pretty good write up somewhere I forgot who did it, but basically the problem with polymer AR lowers is they are trying to copy a metal lower with polymer. There are many points on an AR lower which aren't strong enough when made of polymer unless you redesign or reinforce those points.
The one example is the CavArms lower. You never hear bad things about it. That's because it was designed from the get go to be a polymer lower, instead of a metal lower copied exactly and made out of polymer. |

What is your feelings on these?? Well back in the day when you could pick up a complete lower with a buffer tube assy for 99 bucks they are hard to beat IMO on a pistol build. They work really nice on a 7.5" upper and I've put a few thousands rounds through one and no major problems yet. I did try it on my 7.62 pistol upper but that might be alittle too much when it comes to wear and tear. Go with metal take down pin's and alittle care and they should last a long time on pistol build if you go that route. |

The Cavarms lower is the only one I'd buy. |
