Hello, new to the group. I saw a good price on a complete polymer lower at a show. Thoughts, advice? Thanks, Jim.

Considering that I have seen AL lowers that have gone down to $59.95 (when in stock) that there is no way I would go with a polymer lower.

Aluminum lowers have dropped a bunch and I would agree that aluminum is much better than polymer, but a $60 aluminum lower is stripped and I got a complete Plumcrazy polymer lower for $99.99 delivered to the door (plus $20 for FFL, but that is the same on all of them).  It seems to be working very well.  My Son also has one and he has a lot more 223's down the pipe than I do but he has not had any problems either.  I think they are well worth the money.  I may upgrade to aluminum when I have more cash and keep this one for backup, but right now it is working fine.

How much will it cost to make the lower complete.  A "complete" parts kit from BCM is $57.96 and that's the best price I've seen, a M4 stock kit is another $64.96

That's a total of $182.87 not counting shipping from at least two different distributors.

The Plumcrazy lower is complete for an MSRP of $129.99 SHIPPED.

So you save $50+ and get a lighter lower.

Thanks for the help guys. I think what I saw at a show was a Plum Crazy lower. I'm going to a show in Gainesville GA. this weekend and will look for the vendor to make sure. My idea was to put together something lightweight for my daughter in maybe 5.45x39. I really appreciate the links and think I will give one a try. Thanks all, Jim.

The stock and buffer tube/spring you are getting is crap. Spend a few more dollars and buy a better receiver extension/stock.
