What do you guys think about this little beauty with a J-Point mounted on top?

With 3.5" of eye releif do you think it may give the ACOG/J-Point a run for it's money?

IOR Valdada 3x25 w/CQB reticle

No daylight illuminated reticle means no BAC effect for the magnified scope.  It would compete against say a TA01 but not a TA31 type optic.  Its heavy and low magnification in comparison to the Trijicon as well. What about a QD release?

Do you think guys running the ACOG/J-point really use BAC?

And you're right about the lack of a QD mount, except an ACOG doesn' t really have one either, less an aftermarket ARMS or LaRue.  I would argue this IOR could be mounted to any QD 1913 rail system.

I'd think this would be more of an alternative to the Leupold CQ/T.  With the Leupold costing pretty much the same, and w/ variable power, I think it's a better choice.  However, I've never played with either of them so I'm just going by what it looks like on-paper.

I'm a big IOR fan and I think this scope more than gives the ACOG a run for the money.  The ACOGs are nice, but they are specific to barrel and ammo and have a horrible eye relief, while the IOR yu can use the lines underneath the reticle for BDC and you can also use the turrets for BDC.  And if you get the JPoint sight, it will be ideal for CQB.

The BAC is for getting on distant targets quickly not CQB use in the TA31DOC. What QD1913 rail system are you talking about for the IOR?  I am not familiar with this item.

That's going to leave the Optic too high.  If you get the IOR and the JPoint, why do you need the QD rails?  Are you worried about getting to your BUIS?  Why even bother having a BUIS when you already have the JPoint on top.  What are the chances of both the IOR and JPoint failing at the same time?

IMO, the glass on the IOR is superior to ACOG glass, both my personal and issue ones.

Damn windage turret gets in the way of a microdot.

Not sold on the rails on the CQT and not sold on the rails on this etiher.
