At brightness levels beyond appx 1/2 way I am getting a faint but distinct "ghost image" of the reticule appx 1/2" to the right of and overlapping the actual ethical. It increases in brightness as the actual reticule increases. Also, in comparison with my brother's older EOTech, mine seems slightly more grainy and seems to sparkle somewhat. My lens appears clean and free from obstructions but I have not tried to buff it or anything... Has anyone heard of this before? Any ideas? |

Sheesh. This is up every few weeks. Same thing happened to me: http://www.ar15.com/forums/topic.html?b=3&f=18&t=176220 There's the usual suggestions: Focus on target NOT the reticle, turn brightness down. But I do have a slight astigmatism, so I wear glasses when using the Computer - it ws amazing how clear the reticle is with my glasses on. Astigmatism really exacerbates the problem, even if you don't have poor vision. [Edited to make link hot] |

You have the unit turned up too high FiveO. All illuminated reticles will "bloom" if overdriven for conditions. If you were in bright sunlight, you would not see the bloom. I see it too, anybody can, but astigmatism does make it worse. Stop trippin and turn down the brightness [;D] |
