I am looking to get a 16" upper for my rifle. Are all AR varients O.K to use with my Colt lower? Thank You for your help

make sure your colt lower uses the mil-spec holes.

Any AR15 upper will fit, but if you have a large pivot-pin upper (usually a pre-ban lower), you'll need a conversion pin. As long as your take-down pin and pivot pin are the same size, no conversion parts are needed.
