Ok, I know the unconstitutional AWB caused many issues with guns but it expired..

What is the difference between a pre and post ban barrel?  Why is this still an issue, except for SBR's and Full Auto's?  Or is that why they are still marked.

Just a little confused is all....

7 States still have bans that don't expire. Some can buy prebans, and that's the only way to get evil features in those states,

A post-ban barrel has a front sight base with no bayonet lug.  A pre-ban barrel has the bayonet lug on the FSB.  The reason, here in CT, is so a person has only two of the " evil " features on his/her AR-15 weapon.  Having three of the " evil " features is against state law.  The three " evil " features are non-pinned flash hiders, bayonet lugs and collapsible stocks. The only two ohter " evil " features allowed by CT are the pistol grip and magazine well.  The law is silly because no one ever comitted a crime at bayonet point.  I believe in laws punishing wrong-doers not the tools of marksmanship and hunting.

Like mentioned, it only applies to those states still oppressing their residents.  The rest of us there is really no difference other than the fear that one day the ban will return this time without exceptions of things before such a ban being permitted.
