I just bought a preban Colt sporter carbine in 7.62-39cal. for 1k , condition 98%.
It's an original Colt. Was this worth the money, and is this a sought after gun? And it's
estimated value, sorry- no pics.                serial #LH00224*   hock.gif

Not a bad price.  How many and what type mags did you get ??  (Mags be the prob with this AR.)

I located the mags at WWW.cdnninvestments.com for 8.99ea 10rd. USA brand . They are a little snug going in the gun but work O.K.
Colt mags go for 50-60 bucks, but I mite get a few just to have.  [rail]

Shockingly, USA mags generally work well with this AR.  You might want to start with one Colt mag - my experience is that they are not 'always' reliable.  (I should add that I've only owned one AR in this caliber and my experience is limited to a couple of Colt mags.)

Best of luck and enjoy your new AR !!

Two (2) mags came with your AR; where are they????

A standard 20 rd USGI mag will feed 8 rds of 7.62 x 39, iIrc.
