I have some mags with no date stamped anywhere.  Are these preban.  One is an Okay, one is a parsons, one an adventureline and the other has no markings whatsoever.

Trying to help some of you that are trapped in socialist states out.

Heres what I get from the Attorney genreals office in mass.

If there not date stamped then their not preban. Simply because theres no way to prove it.

He said to me, its a huge grey area. If something happens and you get caught with high cap mags in mass, you need to prove they were manufactured before the ban date (sept 14 94?? i think)

If you cant physically prove it, then there considered illegal. I then asked what about a reciept from a licensed gun dealer stating their preban. he replied once again, "if you cant prove it , their illegal".

So i guess theres really no way to know if theres no stamp. Its up to the person holding them to see if they want to chance it.

Hope this helps.

Burden of proof is on the prosecutor not the defendant. A fair jury will find in the defendants favor. This playing out in MA. well that's another issue.......

What about a company that was around before the ban but not after the ban?  I believe LaBelle made mags before the ban and after the ban they were changed to D&H. I believe there were a few others as well.

Adventureline became Parsons which became Center Industries- all prior to the ban.

Okay started date stamping their mags in the early 1990's and have not stopped, so any undated Okay is pre-ban.

Okay's also have a code inside that usually corresponds to the date they were made.

YES. This is correct.  There is no such thing as a post-ban Adventure Line or Parsons Precision magazine.  Even the most skittish should feel comfortable with undated Adventure Line or Parsons magazines.

Okay magazines MAY be marked on the inside with a date code, sometimes with just the year (typically 80's dates) and sometimes with the month and year (early 90's).  You'll have to pull the floorplate to see this date.
