I have some mags with no date stamped anywhere. Are these preban. One is an Okay, one is a parsons, one an adventureline and the other has no markings whatsoever.
Trying to help some of you that are trapped in socialist states out. |

Heres what I get from the Attorney genreals office in mass.
If there not date stamped then their not preban. Simply because theres no way to prove it. He said to me, its a huge grey area. If something happens and you get caught with high cap mags in mass, you need to prove they were manufactured before the ban date (sept 14 94?? i think) If you cant physically prove it, then there considered illegal. I then asked what about a reciept from a licensed gun dealer stating their preban. he replied once again, "if you cant prove it , their illegal". So i guess theres really no way to know if theres no stamp. Its up to the person holding them to see if they want to chance it. Hope this helps. |

Adventureline became Parsons which became Center Industries- all prior to the ban. Okay started date stamping their mags in the early 1990's and have not stopped, so any undated Okay is pre-ban. Okay's also have a code inside that usually corresponds to the date they were made.

Okay's also have a code inside that usually corresponds to the date they were made. Okay magazines MAY be marked on the inside with a date code, sometimes with just the year (typically 80's dates) and sometimes with the month and year (early 90's). You'll have to pull the floorplate to see this date. |
