Help me decide on the barrel length for my new precision AR build.  I had intended

on using a 24" but now I'm not sure.  Any thoughts on a 22"?  JP seems to be the only

one offering this length, but I will probably have the barrel made by Shilen so I'm sure

they could make me one.  I think 20" will look too short with my JP rifle length

handguard.  What are your thoughts?

My precision bolt guns don't have any barrels over 20" ant they shoot well out to 1,000.  There may be other opinions, but 18-20" should be plenty of barrel length.

I think 20" will look too short ...

I think the 18" balances a little better with a callapsible stock.

I have a MagPul PRS.  Its kinda on the heavy side so it think it should balance pretty

well with the 20".
