| So I'm getting an 18" stainless 1:8 twist upper. The question is what do you think of the new Trijicon TR23 2-G? It's a 5-20 mil dot with a 2moa green dot. I can pick one up for about $900.00 with my mil discount so the question is do you think I could do better with something else? Here is a link to the scope for more info as well http://www.trijicon.com/user/parts/products1.cfm?PartID=690&back_row=4&categoryID=5. I'm going to be shooting it bench, prone etc. at ranges of 300y 200y 100y. I'm open to anything around the 1k mark please don't suggest something that's 1500 etc. |
| That's an awful LOT of magnification for 300 yds unless you're shooting 'lil prairie dogs or something.Actually, up to 10x would be plenty for those ranges, plus it's a smaller, lighter, less costly optic.Trijicon is good glass....no bad choice there, but I'd back up the mag and kep my field of view larger. |
