Magpul RVG? Is this the same dimension with the tango down stubby vfg?

Whenever I want to use a VFG, but I don't always use it, is my first choice LaRue FUG (Forward Universal Grip).

The FUG cost a little more but it is three sizes in one, short, medium and long length by changing the different size supplied end caps.

It also have a large internal storage compartment and as said before a quick detachable mounting.

QD mounting is great if you use the grip with different AR, you don't have to remove any rail panels or light, etc, from the rail to get it off.

My second favorite is my Knight's Armament Co. VFG, less expensive but battle proven by the US military, the only drawback is no storage and you have to remove rail panels, etc, to remove it from the rail.

I like this one.  Made of aluminum and it can be made into a stubby.  Rock solid and shouldn't move on you at all.  I also have the FUG grip which is also nice, but has no grip to it, kind of slippery.

Tango Down VFG on the front of the rail, lower receiver works well too

I never liked the huge Tango Down VFG on my issue M4 but the MVG that I have attached to my MOE handguards on my personal AR feel nice.  I dont grip it like a broomhandle like the military teaches which may be part of it as well.  I use it more as a handstop than an actual grip

Standard KAC VFG.

It's very lightweight, strong, not too thick....and it's KAC.

I like the CAA stubby.  It works and it is cheap.

I also like the used (cheap) TD stubby I found.

Of the ones I used, I like the Magpul MVG which directly mount to MOE handguards. They have a smooth transition from the handguard to the grip itself without a sharp corner to hurt your fingers. I use it as a handstop for a thumb break hold but it's just as comfortable as a "broom stick" hold.

THIS.  I replaced my TangoDown with one of these and I haven't looked back.  It's solid.  In fact I bought a second one just to use as a door knocker.

Agreed. And I tried about all of them before KAC's became "standard issue" in my gun safe. I even paid 80 bucks from KAC for a green one. Ridiculous.

Another vote for Magpul. Can't beat the price.

Yep. Finally decided to mount a Magpul RVG. Just to be consistent with all my Magpul furnitures.

I like the big TangoDown for the tape switch pocket. NO VFG for me for a general use rifle though, just SBR/CQB type stuff.

Magpul AFG, due to some of the newer shooting techniques being taught, and the way my weapon is set up.  This is the best option for me.

No preference. I'll use any of them the same, more about placement to me. Most times I don't use them. Bare-hand or handstop.

I use the KAC VFG mostly because it's pretty dang cheap on the EE. I've picked up like 3-4 of them in the last year for $20 a piece or less. They stand up to any abuse I can put them through and they do everything I want them to do and feel comfortable to me.

This. If you are running a light, this is the cleanest install for the tape switch and the least likely to interfere with the grip or get inadvertently switched on.  I also have the Larue but I'm not sure how they screwed up on the colors. The tan one doesn't match any of my FDE mags or stocks and their solution to the tape switch is elastic bands-below average.

I got a Daniel Defense VFG (the non-convert one) and it works great.
