Have any of you used the CMMG locking lug collar with your CMMG conversion?  Does the conversion chamber adapter stays secure in the barrel extension or will it still need help from something like the TACCOM pressure plug?  Just wondering which way to go to keep the chamber adapter firmly in place.  I've read of a couple of people using two pressure plugs to keep the conversion in place.  Still PP ($8) is a lot cheaper than the locking lug collar ($30), but I like the simplicity of the locking lug collar.  Any negatives about that collar?

The pressure plug does a pretty decent job, but the conversion frame can still move - it just moves a bit less.

Only the collar will absolutely lock the conversion frame into the upper.

The only negative with the collar is it makes disassembly a touch more difficult - not an issue at all on dedicated uppers, though, and not that big a deal even if you're swapping the conversion frame out to use 223 again.

I use a PP on my Ciener kit, and my CMMG uses the locking collar.

A locking collar will do exactly what it implies. However, you have to use (should use) the BHOA to keep it in place.

The pressure plug works well and if necessary, two pressure plugs can be used for extra pressure.

My locking collar is tight enough it needs no BHOA to keep it locked, and usually requires a tool, like a cartridge rim or screwdriver, to unlock and remove it.
