| I just got my Primary Arms Advanced Micro Dot, bolted in up and went about zeroing. I was using it on my PTR32 and it lasted 40 rounds and just broke. Turned off. Going to wait and see what they say when I call... Anyone have similar experience? |

FWIW I have that RDS on an AR pistol and it has served me well so far. It is a great value IMO. |

Having just got one of these myself and had the exact same problem check the battery cap. On mine if its tightened down too much it will work for a bit but shut off and not come and on if bumped. Just barely finger tight and it works just fine, anything over finger tight will induce the problem though.
Did call PA about it but the rep I talked to didn't offer much help. Double checked manual does say hand tight for the cap but take that very literally and use a light hand not a he-man hand. |

Negative, did not solve the issue and I don't have a spare battery to test at the moment. |

Finally got ahold of Primary Arms after a few days of phone tag. They sent a UPS label and I am sending it back in the morning. They have been very friendly and helpful so far! I like the sight and I am praying its a fluke and the next one holds up. Email me your info and I will make sure a new one goes out to you today |

I have one of the red dots with the integrated green laser and my 308 sbr seems to have messed it up. It turns off and back on every shot, I'm suspecting because the battery runs inline with the barrel. Pa said it would take the abuse and I am sure they will make it right when I get around to contacting them. |

New optic received, it works obviously. Will try to get out and shoot this weekend and cross my fingers it doesn't break this time, felling good about this one!
Interesting note, the one that broke was aimed way off to the left which was odd since the Aimpoint I used to have was dead on out of the box. The replacement red dot is almost perfectly lined up with the irons this time out of the box. So I wonder what happened there, I would assume all of Primary Arms optics are set at the midpoint from the factory so I wonder who was playing with that first one before shipping it. |

Maybe something was loose from the factory and that's why it went ka-put. |

That's what I'm guessing. I hope they email me a resolution just so I know it wasn't recoil. Even thought it's supposedly shock proof I still wonder. Quoted:

It would be on when I was at home, but after the first 5-10 shots it would turn off. They quickly sent me a replacement and it's been fine ever since. They'll take care of you. I don't recall getting an email that explained what the issue was, but honestly for an optic at this price point I'm guessing it just goes in a "dud" box somewhere and they only look at them if they get an abnormal number of returns. |

Next morning it was dead. Changed the battery and it's worked fine and been on for about 7 months now. |

I'm just nervous about my astigmatism |

But that's just me. Plus it might not have solved the problem. But we'll never know. LOL. |
