[ARCHIVED THREAD] - Problem?? with upper

I have a bushmaster Varminter that I have shot 60 times. I was looking at it last night ad the area on the left side of the upper just in front of the latch on the charging handle is peened out or cracked, cant tell which or both. hock.gif
Is this normal wear in this area or is this something that Bushmaster needs to fix/replace??

Please let me know about this,

Pics would be helpful but if it is indeed cracked send it back. It should not be.

pics would be a big help but any crack should not be there. If it's the notch that the charging handle latch locks into and it's staring to wear then that is normal after years of use.

Is it 60 times or 60 rounds?

Its just 60 rounds, three boxes, the gun is a month old. I looked at it again and the latch cant be hitting it, The side on the opposite side is slightly peened also.

I mean this gun has been babied, it is freaking me out, I finally got an AR and now I wonder if it was worth it???
