Attempting to install a 5C2 on my 16" SS Wilson barrel. The crown of barrel is bottoming out inside the Phantom before the rear contacts the crush washer, leaving just enough gap to spin the crush washer freely. The thread length on barrel from shoulder to crown is .60", which I believe is correct. Anybody ran across this problem with the Phantom? Any suggestions? Small spacer, stack 2 crush washers?

The Phantom was purchased used here on the EE and it had around 1/8" of buildup inside it where the previous owners barrel ended. 5 minutes with some CLP and my dremel took care of it.

Never ran into that before. But, if it was me, I would look at adding the necessary amount of peel washers verses two crush washers.

I'd stack some peel washers and call it a day.

I measured the inside of my 5c2, its 0.581, the A2 is 0.707. I've installed hundreds of 5c2s, never had the problem your talking about.
