I took my 9mm upper out today on my barrett rec7 lower. The upper has a cmmg 9mm ramped bolt and a yhm 16" barrel in a dsa upper and troy rail. I had a spikes mag block in the lower and a spikes st-t2 buffer with spacer. What is happening is i can fire one round chamber the next but the hammer doesnt reset. I tried taking out the spacer then used the h buffer that was in the rec7 normally. I also put everything back to rec7 configuration and ran a mag through it and had no problems. Anyone have any ideas?

I had that issue when i first build my lower for 9mm. My hammer was not tall enough to allow the bolt to push it all the way back to reset. I was using a non standard hammer and switched it out. Working fine every time now

He is right. A ramped bolt and a short hammer can be an issue.
