I bought a used eotech 512 A65 with a LaRue mount from the EE, opend the box and everything worked. Installed it and now it won't turn on. When I opened the case for where the batteries go I noticed that the connector from the battery to the bottom of the batter case was stuck to the battery. Is this normal or did they break off? Any help would be much appreciated.

EDIT: Got it figured out, those rubber connectors are supposed to be at the bottom of the battery case, problem solved! Noob I know. :(

Contact EOtech and request the battery contact upgrade.  Brownells and a few other places sell them for about $5 + shipping.
Battery Compartment Repair Kit, #Mfr. Part: 92107A.
This replaces the two individual rubber spacers and contacts, with a single piece.

Yes, get the new one piece battery case bumper.  This should solve the iisue of them falling out.

Also, stop using those junk alkaline batteries and get some Energizer Lithium AA batteries.

Seriously!

95% of EOTech failures are probably from using alkaline batteries.

Lithium or NiMH is the only way to go.
