I replaced my stock with a UBR with all the factory supplied screws and now the bolt won't lock to the rear.  Something is preventing it to come all the way back.

What gives?

Carbine Length Buffer?

Was the factory stock a fixed one with a rifle length buffer?

This is my guess as well.

I'm with you guys.  Or the right buffer (carbine), but a rifle spring might cause the same thing.

You need a cabine length spring & buffer.

Ok....I figured it out.  I put everything together and tried to pull the bolt back and it would stop about a half inch before meeting the bolt catch.  I took everything back apart and Magpul decided to include 2 of the screws that attach the tube to the stock.  The other screw was in a bag in the tube and was blocking the buffer from coming all the way back.  So I got an extra screw out of the deal!

Awesome, at least it was an enexpensive fix!

I had the same experience when I installed my UBR. Couldn't figure it out, then the third time I pulled out the buffer spring the bag of screws was stuck in the end. Magpul should add a note in the manual to get the extra screws out first. Or just stop sticking them in the tube.
