When I fire the first shot with my 9mm AR everything seems to work, the gun shoots, and the round ejects.  However, when I pull the trigger the second time all I get is a click, and the gun does not shoot.  What could be the cause of this?

Is their a round in the chamber? Is the bolt fully closed?

What are the details of the build? Ammo used? Did you change anything since the last outting?

Lwrc ultra compact stock, with U9 buffer and spring; QC10 colt lower, Vltor Mur upper,  ADCO RRA bolt.  The only thing that I've tried is changing the buffer spring.  It seems to work fine when I hand cycle with snaps caps.

Which buffer spring have you swapped out?  Have you tried it with a standard 9mm buffer instead of the U9?  That's a pretty heavy buffer.

If you load a single round does the bolt lock back after you fire it ?

I'll have to try that.  The bolt properly locks back when I hand cycle.  I'll have try loading one round and see what it does.  I used a standard buffer spring and the U9.

Are there any issues with using an ADCO glock cut bolt with a Colt pattern lower?

Yeah just wondering if the bolt is traveling all the way back, or just enough to catch that next round. When you pull the trigger the next time are you sure the sound is the hammer dropping ? Maybe fire a round and try to switch the safety selector to safe (assuming your fcg doesn't allow that with the hammer dropped).

No idea on the glock cut bolt.
