Hello,
I have used the search function and google to no avail so far. If there are videos or images showing the performance of this device under low-light or night conditions I have not found it. I have read the stated purpose of the device was to provide adequate balance between muzzle control and flash suppression. I am considering a hybrid device for one of my rifles and am interested how it performs in terms of flash mitigation. Has anyone tested this? If the proctor is significantly brighter than an A2, I will purchase an EFAB. If it performs well as a hider and as a brake, I will consider it. Thanks in advance to anyone who has pertinent info. |

I haven't tried the EFAB, but I do have the AFAB. It's the best hybrid muzzle device currently available, IMHO, adding greatly to muzzle/recoil control w/little more flash than an A2 (independent testing).
EFAB is supposed to be slightly better than the AFAB, you'll have to decide if it's worth the price difference over the AFAB. Tomac |

Yeah it reminds me of several brakes to include the war comp and PWS. But I fail to see how a hybrid device that has open brake baffles would be capable of significantly reducing flash. I may just go AFAB or EFAB; at least I can find night testing for those. I don't need competition/level brake performance nor 100% flash reduction. Just meaningful performance on both ends and especially A2 level flash performance. So far the AFAB and EFAB are looking like the way ahead for me. Just wanted to see if anyone had put the proctor device to the test at night.
Thanks guys and stay safe. |
