Does anyone have experience with both change in point of impact and with group size as result of use of any compensator?

Anything you put in front of the muzzle (flash suppressor, muzzle brake, suppressor, etc) will change your zero to some extent.  Barrel harmonics and also bullet flight can be altered, but in the majority of cases are altered in a consistent manner such that a new zero is as far as that gets.  Most people don't care because essentially you've just created a new zero for that firearm, and most people don't view the muzzle device as an item they will be interchangeably shooting with and without.

In the event a muzzle device is mounted out of square, the muzzle gasses exiting small apertures eccentric to the bullet flight path can wreak havoc on accuracy.  That's obviously a result of poor application of the technology, and not a direct result of the attachments themselves.
