Recently bought a M44 handguard and found after the fact that it twisted when using a VFG. I emailed First Samco and they offered to replace it with their new aluminum version at no charge. It is nice to see a company stand by their product.

Received mine from First Samco. Still slightly loose but made the forward notches a little tighter with some JB weld. Now it is pretty solid. I guess FF is still the best way to go but I am happy with the aluminum M44. I have a YHM 2pc on my m-4 and it is very solid even with a vfg.
