I just got done chargiung it wet so make sure everything works fine and when I went to wipe it down the finish is worn at the back of the upper receiver where the charging handle sits and also where the half moon is at the end of the gas tube insode the upper receiver.

Are you going to be using this rifle or is it going to be a safe queen?

No need to see the photos.

This is a normal thing for some types of finishes. It isn't just PSA but a lot of other companies that use a coating in those  same upper. It's normal. It's actually a dry lube and not part of the finish itself.

This issue has been covered here several times. Enjoy it, it's a good upper.

You do realize that all ARs have wear marks at that location, don't you?

My dpms doesn't. Have any marks there if someone sends me their email or phone number ill send them a pic. My point is that I have not even fired this upper. There is no excuse for the wear mark already.

The same thing you've described has been posted multiple times. It's a dry lube that wears off even with just a little hand cycling and cleaning.

I will IM you my email and you can send them, I'll post them. If it's something else then we'll let you know.

Normal. You will get wear there from hand cycling or firing the rifle.

Can I ask why my dpms doesn't have there or anyone of my friends rifles?

Different process of anodizing, and different finishes.  Also, different generations of PSA uppers and lowers have had different finishes on them.

Aren't the uppers shot once at the factory for functional testing?

My guess would be that the DPMS receiver is Teflon coated. It will eventually have wear marks too. Different receivers can wear in different areas but regardless the wear is normal & doesn't warrant a return IMO. You're wasting your time pontificating about this-no offense.
